Qualifications: BHsc (Nutrition and Dietetics) with Honours, APD/AN, PhD
About: Dr Hannah Mayr is an APD and completed her PhD at La Trobe University in 2018 which investigated the effect of a Mediterranean diet on inflammation and adiposity in patients with coronary heart disease. She is currently employed as a research dietitian at the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane where she is leading a project focused on implementation of the Mediterranean diet into routine care for chronic disease patients. In this role Hannah collaborates on a variety of research projects with other dietitians as well as medical specialists and exercise physiologists focused on lifestyle therapies for improving metabolic health outcomes in people with complex chronic conditions. She is also involved in research capacity building for clinical dietitians. Hannah is a Lecturer in the Bond University Master of Nutrition and Dietetic Practice and is passionate about teaching Dietetics students research skills. .
