About: Roy gained his PhD within the faculty of Health, Arts & Design at Swinburne University of Technology working within the Centre for Human Psychopharmacology. The focus of Roy’s research “Effects of adherence to a Mediterranean style diet and healthy lifestyle on cognitive functioning in independently living older individuals” The PhD project is the” LIILAC” study,(Life Style Intervention, Independently living Aged Care) a study based on site within independent aged care facilities around Melbourne. The focus of Roy’s work is the assessment of a Mediterranean diet intervention assessing cognitive outcomes. The protocol for this study has been published, together with a substantial systematic review on the Adherence to a Mediterranean-Style Diet and effects on Cognition in Adults: A Qualitative evaluation and Systematic Review of Longitudinal and Prospective Trials. The Association between adherence to a Mediterranean-style diet and cognition in older people: The Impact of medications is a world first. .Roy has a research background in Biochemistry and Drug Metabolism with the combination of Wellness Research together over 30 years of working within the health care industry experience is a unique combination of interests.
