Adherence to a Mediterranean-Style Diet and Appendicular Lean Mass in Community-Dwelling Older People: Results From the Berlin Aging Study II.
This study examined the effect of the Mediterranean diet on older individuals in relation to Appendicular Lean Mass (ALM) and Body Mass Index (BMI) and found that higher adherence to a Mediterranean-style diet was associated with a positive effect on ALM/BMI in older women.
