Mediterranean Diet Reduces Serum Advanced Glycation End Products and Increases Antioxidant Defenses in Elderly Adults: A Randomized Controlled Trial.
The purpose of this study was to determine whether the quantity and quality of dietary fat could modify serum advanced glycation end products (AGE) levels and the expression of genes related to oxidative stress, inflammation, and AGE metabolism in healthy elderly adults.
