The olive leaf contains a wide phenolic profile, of which the major elements are shown below: 

  • Oleuropein
  • Hydroxytyrosol
  • Rutin
  • Catechin
  • Luteolin
  • Diosmetin
  • Caffeic acid
  • Verbascoside
  • Vanillic acid
  • Tyrosol
  • Vanillin

 

The two most prominent biophenols found in olive leaf extract are oleuropein and hydroxytyrosol.1
